Despite several setbacks, many ag groups still have their eyes on the skies for the future of ethanol through sustainable jet fuel. They are focused on the Clean Fuel Tax Credit, which is still pending treasury approval.
The Renewable Fuels Association is watching closely, and its Senior Vice President says they want to ensure the treasury uses the best available science. He says that includes making sure crop biofuels, like corn ethanol, have a seat at the table in clean fuel production.
The RFA is also working on a credit trading system to give farmers extra income by selling credits to ethanol producers.
