The next Cadbury bunny isn’t a bunny at all, in fact, it doesn’t even have four legs.
Lt. Dan, a two-legged pup from Ohio, was named the next mascot of the company behind the egg-shaped chocolates popular around Easter.
“Lieutenant Dan was born different, but hasn’t let that slow him down! He has a joy for life that is infectious and inspiring,” Cadbury said on its website.
Lt. Dan beat out Ginger the Hamster, Conswala the llama and Dilly Bar Dabbler the duck, among others. In the video submission for the contest, Lt. Dan is wearing a pair of bunny ears and playfully collecting eggs.
For winning the contest, Lt. Dan’s owners receive $5,000 cash and the dog will appear in a Cadbury commercial.
