ACE Summit Highlights Women’s Role in Agriculture

Women from across the farm sector gathered in Washington to discuss leadership, advocacy and industry opportunities

WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD News) — Agriculture industry leaders are gathered in Washington this week to highlight the vital role women play across the agricultural supply chain.

The International Year of the Woman Farmer ACE Summit brings together women from throughout the farm sector for networking opportunities, leadership development and skill-building sessions.

Missouri farmer Addie Yoder attended this year’s event and joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report to share an update from the conference.

In her conversation with RFD News, Yoder discussed how she first became involved with the ACE Summit and reflected on her experience attending this year’s event.

She also spoke about the importance of recognizing the contributions women make throughout agriculture and the value of building connections across the industry.

Yoder additionally shared an update on her Missouri farming operation, where she grows corn and soybeans.

As the conference comes to a close, Yoder also reflected on the lessons and experiences she plans to take home from this year’s summit.
