Tissue sampling can help plan your crop nutrition roadmap.
At AgriGold, they have been analyzing customers’ tissue sampling data for almost a decade now. In fact, they have gathered 10,000 data points for both corn and soy. One agronomist shares what he has learned through this data.
“Number one, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there’s definitely a correlation between nutrient concentration and yield. Number two, your corn strategy has to be very similar to a thoroughbred racehorse, you have to come out of the gate strong, healthy, and fast. There’s really no exception to that,” according to Josh Johnston.
Johnston encourages farmers to stick with their normal fertility plan for the first year that tissue samples are collected, that way you know what to improve.
