APHIS’s Chief Vet talks Indiana’s response to HPAI confirmation

Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been confirmed in a commercial turkey flock in Indiana. Until this week, the virus had only been found in wild birds.

USDA’s APHIS says that they are moving quickly and will take further action to prevent other outbreaks.

Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Rosemary Sifford spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzzane Alexander on Indiana’s response plan and the next steps for the farm.
