Atrazine Arguments: EPA to convene Scientific Advisory Panel to review its risks

Arguments over atrazine. After receiving a lot of pushback for revising the herbicide registration, the EPA will convene its formal Scientific Advisory Panel to review the potential risks to aquatic plants.

For now, the Agency is proposing producers reduce the amount of atrazine they use and employ conservation practices to limit pollution in watersheds. Ag group leaders are continuing their calls for the EPA to follow already established science and stop implementing so many new restrictions.
