Turns out, grains are not the only commodity in high demand lately as police across Nebraska report an increase in beef thefts.
Just days ago, police in Grand Island, Nebraska investigated a large meat theft case where three tractor-trailers full of meat products were stolen.
Authorities estimate as much as $1 million worth of meat was in those trailers. In Omaha, $50,000 worth of beef trimmings were stolen from a plant using fake documents.
