Cajun Meets Cuban: Louisiana ag leaders are looking to build international trade with rice

Louisiana ag leaders recently traveled to Cuba to build trade relationships and improve rice production.

With a new agreement in place, LSU and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture are working with Cuban officials to boost yields and sustainability.

In the first week of each month, “Down Home Virginia,” produced by the Virginia Farm Bureau, airs its half-hour program. Other states’ Farm Bureaus featured on different weeks include Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Idaho, and New York, and news from the American Farm Bureau from Washington, D.C.
