Celebrating the legendary Carl Perkins with a brand new album — Some Things Never Change

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the iconic song “Blue Suede Shoes.”

It is often considered one of the first rockabilly songs and was written by Grammy Hall of Famer Carl Perkins, who has had music recorded by everyone from the Beatles to Elvis Presley.

Now, a never-before-heard album is showcasing some of his final works.

Recording artist and producer Bill Lloyd spoke with RFD-TV’s own Jennifer Vickery Smith on Carl’s milestones, the significance of this anniversary, and what went into making this project.
