CETA leaves Canadians disappointed

After three years, farmers in Canada are struggling to gain market access in the European Union.

Host of RealAg Radio Shaun Haney speaks with RFD-TV News on the CETA agreement and how the country looks to fix it.

“This week was the three-year anniversary of the CETA agreement, which is the Canada-EU free trade agreement, and although there is an agreement in place, Canada is very, very frustrated with the fact that the EU has been using technical restrictions to really prevent Canadian agricultural products from entering the country,” Haney states. “Canadian exporters have not seen the growth in agricultural exports as they were promised in the original signing of the agreement.”

There will be no trade agreement between Canada and China.
