CN Rail employees are on strike

Rail workers are going on strike. Right now, about 750 CN Rail employees are on the picket line.

The workers are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and CN Rail says they rejected a deal that included a 10 percent raise over the next three years.

The railway says operations are still running as normal under a contingency plan, but another strike is looming and that could have a much bigger impact.

A contract with another union that represents 3,000 workers is set to expire in late July.
