SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (RFD NEWS) — Ongoing economic pressures have many farmers taking a closer look at their input decisions, including fertilizer use. With margins tight, plant fertility strategies are expected to be a major topic of conversation at next week’s Commodity Classic in San Antonio.

Tommy Roach with Nachurs Alpine Solutions joined us on Friday’s Market Day Report ahead of the event to preview what growers can expect and how the company is addressing current challenges in plant fertility.

In his interview with RFD NEWS, Roach discussed how growers can stay engaged in applying plant fertility at a time when many are cutting back or re-evaluating their inputs. He also touched on nitrogen use, noting how the company’s work with phosphorus and its more recent focus on potassium through Bio-K technology may help improve nitrogen utilization.

Finally, Roach highlighted Nachurs Alpine’s current work on in-plant fertility and shared how attendees can connect with the team during Commodity Classic next week.
