Countdown to Convention: Texas FFA Advisor Brings Ag Education to Social Media

Texas ag teacher Shawn Rejcek has built a social media following by sharing his experiences in the classroom.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD-TV) — Upwards of 70,000 people are preparing to travel to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention, where students and educators from across the country will come together to celebrate the future of agriculture.

Texas FFA advisor and ag educator Shawn Rejcek joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report as part of RFD-TV’s Countdown to Convention, presented by Culver’s.

In his conversation with RFD-TV, Rejcek discussed how FFA has changed over the years, giving students more ways to get involved. He also talked about his growing social media presence, where he uses humor to share what life is like as an ag teacher.

Outside the classroom, Rejcek is also a singer-songwriter. During his trip to Nashville, he plans to work on a song he wrote for his parents called “50 Years of Loving You,” with hopes of sharing it on social media.
