NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Just two days after performing to a sold-out crowd at his first-ever headlining Ryman Auditorium show (5/4), Country chart-topper and philanthropist Tracy Lawrence banded together with fellow celebrities alike including Gary Allan, Johnny Damon, Jordan Davis, Vince Gill, Bo Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Josh Ross and more for his fourth annual Mission:Possible Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament this past Monday (5/6). The celebrity event raised over $250,000 this year for Lawrence’s charity, Mission:Possible, which raises funds and awareness for homeless organizations in Middle Tennessee and beyond.
This past Saturday (5/4), Lawrence stepped onto the historic Mother Church’s stage in his iconic black cowboy hat, performing to a sold-out crowd at his first headlining show at the Ryman Auditorium. Lively fans sang along to every word of his classics including “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” “Time Marches On,” “Paint Me A Birmingham” and more, as well as tributes to Charlie Daniels and Joe Diffie, earning the Country legend multiple standing ovations throughout the night. Lawrence brought out special guest singer-songwriter Trey Lewis for a performance of “Out Here In It,” the title track of Lawrence’s forthcoming EP.
Out Here In It, available June 7, features six standout tracks cut from some of Nashville’s hottest songwriters including Rodney Clawson, Devin Dawson, Jacob Durrett, Wyatt McCubbin, Lee Thomas Miller, Ernest Keith Smith and more. “The pure Country hitmaker” (Taste of Country) has already released title track “Out Here In It,” “Gulf of Mexico,” which MusicRow credited “the honky-tonk master [for nailing] this heartache ballad completely,” and the most recent release “Pretty Dang Good.” The latter’s music video premiered exclusively on Whiskey Riff, where Lawrence proclaimed he has “never done anything like it.”
Lawrence continues to share his new music and greatest hits on the road on Riley Green’s 33-stop Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour throughout the spring. Next month, Lawrence gears up for the sold-out “Tracy Lawrence and Friends” coming to Ascend Amphitheater for CMA Fest on Saturday, June 8. Excitement runs high for the show, completely selling out within the first few hours of on sale, as Lawrence will be joined by tourmate Green, Chris Young, Maddie & Tae, Priscilla Block, RaeLynn and Charles Esten. At the end of the summer, Lawrence will head to Texas to be inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, adding to his growing list of accolades including the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame. The Country icon will perform at the ceremony, which is being held in Carthage, Texas on Saturday, August 10.
