Crisis Not Yet Averted: The Avian Influenza is still a problem in the U.S.

Despite warmer weather, researchers say the Avian Influenza crisis is not over yet.

Colorado has extended its emergency declaration for another 30 days as state agencies work to stop the spread. The virus was originally found in wild birds but had spread to domestic and commercial flocks in 14 counties across Colorado.

Nationwide, Avian Flu has killed more than 40 million birds.

USDA stresses to not transport any birds that appear sick.
