Critical Timing: farm groups applaud Ocean Shipping Reform Act passage

Farm groups are applauding the passage of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act, which is now headed to the President’s desk.

It comes as the ag sector continues coping with supply chain hurdles, causing them to lose out on the billions worth of ag exports.

NASDA CEO and former Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Ag Affairs, Ted McKinney spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander about the timing of the legislation, if it was a surprise to see the bipartisan response, how the legislation will protect shippers and farmers, and the next steps for implementation.
