Culver’s Essay Winners Meet and Greet at FFA Convention

October 25, 2017

Three FFA Members from across the United States were recognized for their passion for agriculture through Culver’s essay scholarship program. This is the third year for the program and there were 650 applicants. After many hours of reading and evaluating, three FFA members were chosen as winners.

This year’s winners were from Texas, Iowa, and California.

Of the three winners, the only one who has eaten at Culver’s is the Iowa winner. Jokingly, the CEO, Joe Koss said, “They will have to try the world famous custard while at the convention.” Culver’s booth will be serving enough custard for 30,000 people.

Koss mingled among the students and shared personal stories about his interactions with agriculture, as well as the impact agriculture has on his business. Koss and his company host a “Thank you Farmers” campaign each year, noting the impact agriculture has on their business and the world.
