NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) Dairy may be the decider between a bilateral or trilateral renegotiated NAFTA. Congress has the official documents for the deal with Mexico. President Donald Trump says Canada can join, if it wants, but he wants concessions on dairy. Reports note Canada already made concessions in other pacts, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership where it agreed to increase market access in the amount of 3.25% of its annual milk production, but Canadian officials say they want to protect their farmers. According to USDA data, the U.S. exported $637 million worth of dairy products to Canada in 2017 - enough to run a $418 million trade surplus. Trade representatives from both nations will meet today in Washington.
