The dairy industry is on track for significant growth this year.
According to Brownfield Ag News, the International Dairy Foods Association estimates more than $7 billion in processing expansions are currently underway across the United States. President and CEO of the group says the majority of other dairy CEOs plan to increase investments over the next three to five years.
U.S. farmers are producing twice as much milk today with half as many cows compared to 60 years ago, and the USDA is predicting milk production to increase by 20 billion pounds by the year 2030.
