Diabetic alert dog, “Scentinel,” uses snout to save FFA member’s life

Between horseback riding and FFA, 18 year old Hayven Chase has had a busy life, but she has also had diabetes for nearly 10 years.

She has been training her dog to use his sensitive nose to alert her to dangerously low blood sugar levels.

The Idaho Farm Bureau shares her remarkable story.

Scentinel is even being trained to alert Hayven to blood sugar when she is out riding her horse!
