The Crosby Arboretum in south Mississippi is dedicated to educating the public about their environment. It’s a special place locals call a natural beauty.
The exhibit, which spans 64 acres, showcases ecosystems and displays three basic habitats. Savannah grasslands occupy 20 acres of the exhibit while the rest are woodlands.
The Arboretum was built as a living memorial to forward-thinking timber pioneer, Crosby, Jr., by his family and was known as one of his favorite sites.
