Florida House Committee passes a law banning cultivated meat

The sponsor of the bill says as of today, the unknowns are too great. However, lawmakers in opposition believe cultivated meat could boost the economy.

A law banning cultivated meat in the state of Florida is making more progress.

The state’s House Regulatory Reform and Economic Development Subcommittee passed the bill to ban the manufacture and sale of cultivated meat. The sponsor of the bill says as of today, the unknowns are too great. However, lawmakers in opposition believe cultivated meat could boost the economy.

The Senate version of the bill also passed.
