Folds of Honor Tennessee Celebrity Softball Game Raises A Record Amount

NASHVILLE, TN (June 11, 2024) – On Monday, June 3rd at the Nashville Sounds’ First Horizon Park, over 7,000 spectators gathered to witness the Folds of Honor 4th annual Rock ‘N Jock Celebrity Softball Game, contributing to an exhilarating event that raised more than $436,000 for the FOH mission. Individually donating $50,000 to providing life-changing scholarships to the families of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders, Riley Green, captain of Team First Responders, also led his team to an impressive victory over team Military with a final score of 17-13. Green stated, “I’ve always been a big supporter of our first responders and military, so Folds of Honor is an organization I am proud to be involved with. They’ve done a lot of great work for people who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe.”

Artists, pro and Olympic athletes, comedians, influencers, wrestlers and first responders took the field to play ball, delivering an unforgettable action-packed game filled with excitement and camaraderie. The event, made possible by title sponsor Jockey International, Inc. (Jockey), and other supporting sponsors such as LKQ Corp, Horesji Charitable Foundation and Budweiser ensured another hilariously entertaining and ultimately successful event with Rocky Sickmann throwing the first pitch and Lee Greenwood performing his hit song “God Bless The USA” during the 7th inning stretch. Fans and peers alike could then rewatch the unforgettable game the following Saturday on MyTV30.

Jenner Kreifels, executive director, Folds of Honor Tennessee stated, “Over an hour rain delay for this year’s Folds of Honor Tennessee Celebrity Softball Game but the players, board members, sponsors and the fans stuck it out for a beautiful night! Over $400,000 was raised for deserving military and first responder families. One of the highlights of the night being Lee Greenwood performing his hit “God Bless the USA” live during the 7th inning stretch. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Rock ‘N Jock game a huge success.”

Adding to the excitement and appreciation to those who contributed, Robbie Goldsmith, executive board VP of Folds of Honor Tennessee added, “We are overwhelmed with gratitude after the success of our 4th annual Folds of Honor Rock ‘N Jock celebrity softball game presented by Jockey at First Horizon Park. The support of the celebrities, fans and sponsors not only created an amazing night in Nashville, but led us to our main objective which was almost doubling our 2023 record. We cannot wait to see you next June!”

“As a brand deeply rooted in family values and tradition, Jockey was proud to continue its support of Folds of Honor by sponsoring the Rock ‘N Jock celebrity softball game for the second consecutive year,” said Tom Hutchison, vice president of marketing, Jockey. “Supporting Folds of Honor is a natural extension of our appreciation to those who give so much, so we may enjoy our freedom in America.
