Bill and Ann Thornton were married on Oct. 24, 1954 they celebrated their 65th anniversary Thursday the way they celebrate every morning, eating breakfast at the same table at the same Chick-Fil-A in Lilburn, Georgia.
The couple have been going to the Lilburn location since it opened in 1991. On Thursday, they spent some time reminiscing with the Chick-Fil-A employees, telling them the story of how they got married in front of a small crowd at their preachers’ house.
“We are so thankful for them, their wonderful example of enduring love, and what they have meant to our Chick-Fil-A Lilburn family over the years,” restaurant operator Bryan Shepard told 11Alive.
