A neighborhood in McKinney, Texas was recently greeted by some uninvited guests.
One resident, Garrett Piersall, tells WFAA News that he woke up one day and saw that there were 40 goats on his lawn.
Another resident, Mike Danielson, said, “They were coming down the road really slowly and kind of chilled out right here.”
The goats were grazing at a nearby development to help with fire season but took a detour instead to the Erwin Farms and migrated for more than a mile from the rest of the herd.
Piersall said they even helped manicure his lawn and others.
“It actually did us a favor because we were probably going to pull them this week or next anyway,” Piersall said.
The small group of goats were eventually reunited with the rest of the herd.
