Team 7Brew Coffee came in hot to take the lead early and never let go as Alton Jones Jr. and Alton Jones rallied for 60 pounds, 13 ounces on 24 scorable bass. Meanwhile, it was a tight race along the elimination line for most of the day, but Ron Nelson and Martin Villa of Team O’Reilly Auto Parts pulled ahead with 42-11 on 18 scorable bass for second place. Both teams will return for the Championship Round on Friday.

Challenge Cup, Day 4: Winners and Runner-Up

The winning team from Elimination Match 1 & 2, and the Runner-up from Elimination Match 3, will compete in Wednesday’s Knockout Round 1. The Top 2 teams from this round will advance to Friday’s Championship Round of the Major League Fishing B&W Trailer Hitches Challenge Cup.

Team Kubota’s Edwin Evers and Skeet Reese put up a good fight, finishing third with 33-10 on 15 scorable bass.

Challenge Cup action continues today (Thursday) with Knockout Round Match 2. Catch all the action on the RFD-TV Now ivestream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, or tune in live when RFD-TV airs the final period of each competition day (2:30-5 p.m.).
