Around one-third of all cases of High Path Avian Flu in dairy herds have come out of California, but cases have slowed across the rest of the United States.
Analysts at Successful Farming found Colorado has the most cases in the United States, but has not reported a new case in around two months. Cases in Michigan have also slowed, with the latest reported in early September.
So far, 14 states have reported cases of High Path Avian Flu in dairy cattle, totaling nearly 300 herds across the United States. 17 humans have also been diagnosed, but those cases appear to be mild.
