On Monday, a historic farm in Stratham, New Hampshire caught on fire. Three hundred chickens died as a result.
Multiple fire crews responded to the Scamman Farm blaze around 11:00 PM Monday night. One structure that was in the fire’s path held around 300 chickens.
The family home was not affected, as well as another historical building on the property. Thankfully, no injuries occurred.
Thankful to hear Doug, Stella, and Kyle are safe after losing their historic barn last night. The Scamman Farm has been a bedrock in southern NH for generations. We wish them all well as they rebuild to the future. https://t.co/OrgnmGVFC0

Many notable events have happened at Scamman, like a 2004 rally for George W. Bush’s re-election and where Mitt Romney announced his presidential campaign in 2011. The farm was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.
