Idaho’s Moose Fire has burned more than 72,000 acres

Ranchland in Idaho is on fire.

The Moose Fire has burned more than 72,000 acres so far, with more than 1,300 acres just since yesterday. The flames are also burning in grass, brush, and timber on both sides of the Salmon River.

Evacuation warnings have been issued in the affected areas. The blaze is only 18 percent contained.

The cause of the outbreak is still under investigation, though it has been ruled human-caused.
