Iowa Pork on what is next for the industry
Soybean farmers are paying close attention when issues arise in the pork industry. The CEO of Iowa Pork Producers Association shares the biggest surprise from the COVID-19 pandemic and what to expect moving forward.
According to Pat McGonegle, even with the backlog at processing facilities pork producers never compromised care of the animals. He says that adaptability has kept the industry strong, whether it was adapting production and the operation, or adapting to new social guidelines and worker safety. The resiliency of pork producers have kept them first class across the globe.
“Pork producers, those of us in agriculture are very resilient, very innovative, and very determined to find a way.”
