John Wayne’s former cattle ranch hits the market!

Rancho Pavoreal, aka Peacock Ranch, a horse and cattle ranch has just hit the market. It is located in Sage, California at the foot of Palomar Mountain.

It is currently listed at $12 million dollars.

The property was built in 1950 and was purchased by legendary actor John Wayne in the 1970s. The Duke would invite friends over for horseback riding, shooting, and other ranch activities, reports Fox Business.

The property is 2,000 acres and it has a three-bedroom, three-bath ranch-style house. “As an action hero to many, John Wayne’s presence still lives in Rancho Pavoreal’s very masculine and western aesthetic,” the listing agent stated, according to House Beautiful.

After Wayne’s passing in 1979, the ranch has been on and off the market.
Fun fact, the neighboring ranch used to belong to Walt Disney.

The listing is being handled by Tatiana Novick with the Rancho Santa Fe office of Coldwell Banker Realty.
