Kerry: U.S. government will not tell Americans to eat less meat

John Kerry, the special envoy for climate, says that the government will not tell Americans to eat less meat.

He appeared this week on the BBC, where the host claimed that U.S. ag emissions are going up, despite overall emissions going down.

His suggestion to Kerry was to tell Americans to eat less meat. Kerry fired back citing research that could change the way meat is produced. He says that research would reduce the amount of methane emitted from America’s farms and ranches.
