CMA Fest 2022 is officially underway and we kicked it off early with an amazing “fan appreciation show” by Sawyer Brown.
Sawyer Brown is approaching their 40th anniversary as a band and what better way to celebrate than a concert off of Downtown Broadway during CMA Fest week. The group was originally Don King’s road band. In 1983, they auditioned on Star Search and took home the grand prize of a recording contract and $100,000 dollars. Their career has seen more than 20 albums and number one hits like “Step by Step”, “Some Girls Do”, and “Thank God For You”.
The event took place Wednesday night at the Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall. The MC for the event was none other than Madison Miller, who you may know from Chasing Down Madison Brown. The two opening acts were Black River Entertainment artists, Josiah Siska and MaRynn Taylor.
Sawyer’s performance was electric, start to finish. The rooftop was filled with fans both new and old, and they knew every word. While the group has had a long career, Mark Miller’s moves were as wild as when they first started.
