FFA Week 2026: Six Former FFA Members to Celebrate on Alumni Day

It’s National FFA Week, and today we’re celebrating Alumni Day by highlighting some inspiring former FFA members making an impact in agriculture and beyond.

NASHVILLE, TENN. (RFD NEWS) — It’s National FFA Week, and today we’re shining a spotlight on some extraordinary former members as part of Alumni Day! From livestock shows and ranches to newsrooms and music stages, these FFA alumni have taken the lessons they learned in the classroom and the barn and turned them into impressive careers, leadership roles, and lifelong contributions to agriculture.

FFA isn’t just about learning agricultural skills—it’s about building confidence, developing leadership, and creating a network of peers who inspire you to dream bigger. Whether they’re advocating for rural communities, leading in ag media, or riding to victory in the horse racing world, these six alumni demonstrate the lasting impact FFA has on shaping leaders in every corner of the country.

Chelsey Keiser – Born to Ride

Chelsey Keiser, an Ohio Proficiency Award winner, turned her FFA experience into a successful career as a professional jockey. With over 400 wins and $10 million in career earnings, she proves that dedication and passion take you far.

Eliza Petry – Leading in Broadcast and Ag

RFD NEWS anchor Eliza Petry credits FFA with building her leadership and advocacy skills. From chapter president to Illinois FFA State Vice President (2018–2019), she’s a shining example of how FFA shapes future leaders.

Charlsie McKay – From Livestock to the Newsroom

Market Day Report senior producer Charlsie McKay was part of the Pike Valley FFA in Scandia, Kansas. She competed in livestock judging at state and national levels, earned Silver Emblem recognition, and showed both cattle and horses during her FFA career.

Tim English – Lifelong Ag Advocate

Tim English, family to RFD News Team member Maggie English, was active in the Lincoln County FFA from 1979–1982. A Star Greenhand Award winner and livestock judging competitor, Tim continues to support agriculture as a farm hand at Deer Valley Farms in Fayetteville.

Kirbe Schnoor – Farming to FarmHER + RanchHER

Growing up on a Central Valley, California farm, Kirbe Schnoor worked with diverse crops and developed a lifelong passion for agriculture. After earning a degree in broadcast journalism, she’s become a prominent agricultural reporter and now hosts FarmHER + RanchHER, sharing the stories she loves most.

Clare Dunn – Country Music Star, RancHER, and Ag Advocate

Singer-songwriter and rancher Clare Dunn credits her FFA experience with shaping both her music career and her work ethic. She continues to champion agriculture through her music, ranching work, and the Real Rural Foundation, which educates the public about rural life and farming.
