NASHVILLE, TENN. (RFD NEWS) — We’re welcoming a new face to the RFD News team, bringing deep roots in agriculture and a passion for telling the stories of rural America.
Eliza Petry grew up on a corn and soybean operation in Illinois, an experience that helped shape both her personal and professional path. Her agricultural background includes involvement in FFA and earning a degree in agricultural education from the University of Illinois.
Petry initially considered a career in agricultural education before transitioning into news. In her previous role, she worked in agricultural broadcasting, where her passion for telling agriculture’s stories led to opportunities focused specifically on ag-related coverage.
As she begins her new role with RFD Network, Petry says she is excited to share stories from rural roads across the country and highlight the farmers and ranchers who keep the industry moving.
