With markets closed in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, RFD-TV is delighted to bring you an encore presentation of our special New Year’s 2023 programming in lieu of “Market Day Report”:

EquestFest

9 AM ET | 8 AM CT | 7 AM MT | 6 AM PT

Equine lovers will especially appreciate the splendor of “EquestFest,” the annual precursor to the Rose Parade that celebrates the equestrian units that are participating. Held at the Equidome at Burbank’s Los Angeles Equestrian Center, “EquestFest” goes behind-the-scenes to showcase equestrian performances, exhibit drills and dances, trick riding, roping and a variety of breeds, along with impressive and unique tack and costumes. Some of the units typically participating in the Rose Parade include the Budweiser Clydesdales, The New Buffalo Soldiers, the Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard, the U.S. Forest Service Park String, and several mounted drill teams.

11 AM ET | 10 AM CT | 9 AM MT | 8 AM PT

The 134th Rose Parade, presented by Honda, returns with meteorologist Christina Loren of RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO Channel 147 and veteran host Pam Minick from “American Rancher” and “Gentle Giants.” The Pre-Show will take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the floats, performers, marching bands, horses, and myriad other special attractions as they all get ready to take their places in the spectacle that is the Tournament of Roses Parade, held annually in Pasadena, California.

The Tournament of Roses is America’s New Year Celebration, a greeting to the world on the first day of the year, and a salute to the community spirit and love of pageantry that have thrived in Pasadena for more than 100 years. Former Congresswoman and National Advocate Gabby Giffords will serve as Grand Marshal.

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Protecting the Wild

2 PM ET | 1 PM CT | 12 PM MT | 11 AM PT

“Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Protecting the Wild” is a new television series showcasing conservation success stories and that will inspire the next generation of conservationists. Peter Gros of the original “Wild Kingdom” show hosts the new series and appears alongside featured guests from conservation organizations. Some of the endangered animals featured in the series include Florida panthers, cougars, bears, wolves, coral and more. Special repeat of Episode 2: Spirit of the Condor – Once declared extinct in the wild, the California condor is back in the skies. Host Peter Gros gets a first-hand look at restoring North America’s largest bird.

Viewers can enjoy traditional country music from the brother duo of Chris & Taylor Malpass, a featured celebrity guest on each episode, and loads of clever humor.
Join popular polka performer Mollie Busta as she hosts the weekly “Mollie B Polka Party” on RFD-TV! The one-hour program features the nation’s top polka bands and a wide variety of ethnic styles produced on location at music festivals from around the country.

Ray’s Roadhouse is a weekly program featuring the music of Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel. Ray and his band Asleep at the Wheel has had a more than 50 year career in the music industry and over the years have earned nine Grammy Awards. The program also will feature guest performers such as Pat Green, Stoney LaRue and Kelly Willis.
SharkFarmer TV is the brainchild of Rob Sharkey, a 5th-generation farmer from Illinois. He shares the stories of incredible people in agriculture—both their successes and perhaps a few blunders along the way. You’ll see aerial footage of the field just as the drone crashes into a barn—and hear the story behind it all.
