MN Turkey Growers Association: Scare tactics on wild birds are helping keep HPAI cases down

Wild birds have been a major carrier of high path avian flu this time around and tactics to keep them away from U.S. poultry operators are working.

Cases are down significantly and the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association says that is due to deterrents like lasers and wind socks among other things.

However, Ashley Kohls with the association emphasizes it is imperative producers maintain their biosecurity efforts as we move into fall migration.
