The Bozeman Police Department removed a wild chicken from a neighborhood Tuesday after it spent months bothering neighbors.

Animal Control Officer Selena Fowler told NBC Montana that the bird had been a nuisance in the area for months. She believes a person who was raising chickens recently left and left the chicken behind.

“Henny Penny was booked this morning and released on her own recognizance,” the department said on Facebook Wednesday.

The chicken will be donated to the county’s 4-H poultry group for animal and farm education.
