There may be a new market for dairy farmers in the alternative protein category.
Top Protein, a startup protein technology company, announced an alternative meat product made entirely from all-natural milk. They will offer products that will mimic beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. The meat portfolio includes whole cuts of alternative meats along with shredded red and white meat products.
The announcement comes as plant-based alternatives are losing popularity with consumers. Sales are down 20 percent in the last year.
