As National FFA Convention approaches quickly, the National Officers are gearing up for a close to their year of service and celebrating the accomplishments of chapters across the nation over the past year. This year’s theme is “I Can. We Will.” Victoria Harris, National FFA Secretary, said this year’s theme means that every student and supporter has abilities, but when they come together collectively a bigger impact is made in the “blue jacket.”

Harris recently spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison about the upcoming convention. She said that students can expect to be joined together in unity as they promote the agricultural industry. Harris also explained that she is an FFA member from an urban area, and was really surprised by the welcome she was met with.

National FFA Vice President Valerie Earley spoke with RFD-TV about the upcoming 90th National Convention and Expo, where there will be opportunities for growth amidst the celebrations of the successes from the past year. There will be workshops, and opportunities for participation in Career Development Events, Leadership Development Events as well as opportunities to participate in a National Day of Service. Earley said, “I’m excited to get to see all the members I’ve met this year and continue to meet more members.”

The National Officers are busy preparing for this year’s convention and eagerly awaiting the arrival of over 65,000 students in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s 90th National FFA Convention and Expo will take place October 25th through the 28th.
