In South Carolina, one mayor was looking for a way to serve his constituents the COVID-19 vaccine more efficiently. So, he decided to call Chick-fil-A.

The chicken, fast food joint is known across the country for their customer service. But why, or better yet, how could they help with the COVID vaccine?

Well, the major of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Will Haynie, thought that Chick-fil-A’s drive thru methods would help in the vaccinations. Haynie called up a local manager, Jerry Walkowiak, to help out and to offer his expertise.

Mayor Haynie tweeted the day of saying, “Chick-fil-A manager Jerry Walkowiak donating his professional drive thru experience to help our vaccination program in Mt. Pleasant today. When you need help, call the pros.”

Over the rainy weekend, the two were able to get over 1,000 people vaccinated.

“The real message? Get the vaccine out to the people quickly and efficiently. There’s light at the end of the COVID tunnel,” Mayor Haynie stated, according to Fox Chattanooga.
