The Gila National Forest has opened public comment on the lethal removal of estray cattle. Last year, the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association settled a lawsuit filed to prevent the aerial shooting of feral cattle in the region.
The group’s President and CEO, Loren Patterson spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison about where the situation stands today, what issues lethal removal caused for cattlemen, and the misuse of beef and cattle this creates.
