High path avian flu has been detected on a third poultry farm in Australia.
The latest farm is located just a few miles from the first to report infection back in May. Both tested positive for the same strain of the virus.
All three farms have now been placed under quarantine with strict restrictions on movement in surrounding areas.
According to Victoria’s Chief Veterinary Officer, the new detection was not unexpected.
