NPPC calls to stop pork line speed court order

Pork line speeds will slow down at six major processors tomorrow. Seventy lawmakers are now calling on the administration to stop the court order, which could result in a 2.5 percent loss in plant capacity across the country.

Andrew Bailey with the National Pork Producers Council speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on efforts to halt the court order, what ripple effects the industry might feel, and where we go from here.

“Two and a half percent of U.S. pork processing capacity is going to disappear after the 30th, or on the 30th. Obviously, our major priority is to advert that sort of disaster,” Bailey states.
