Chancey Williams is an American country music singer-songwriter and former saddle bronc rider. Besides Chris LeDoux, he is the only person who has both ridden and performed at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Cheyenne Frontier Days has been held every year since 1897 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It bills itself as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration.” The event draws nearly 200,000 annually.
During his appearance on On the Record, he tells host Suzanne Alexander he always looked up to his father, who also rode at Cheyenne Frontier Days and what it means to the whole state of Wyoming.
