Before Mitchell Tenpenny became a hit songwriter and artist in his own right, music was already part of his DNA. His grandmother, the legendary Donna Hilley, led Sony ATV Publishing and helped shape the careers of countless songwriters who define country music.

Mitchell shares a special childhood memory when he realized what a songwriter really was.
