The ag community is coming together to deliver relief supplies to areas impacted by the Nebraska wildfires. Donations for fencing and feed are currently being collected.
Fifth generation farmer and content creator, Laura Farms, joined RFD-TV’s Eliza Petry to discuss how she and her husband’s donations have been, what she has seen in these communities, and her gratefulness to be able to use her platform to get the word out.

The largest one, the Morrill Fire, is now nearly fully contained, but it has taken with it miles of fencing and has scorched thousands of acres of pasture lands.
That fire is the largest fire in state history. After days of work, crews now have that fire 98 percent contained, and it burned nearly 650,000 acres. The Cottonwood Fire has burned roughly 130,000 acres and is sitting at 80 percent contained. All combined, both fires cover the same footprint as Rhode Island and have put many ag operations in jeopardy.
The Ranger Road Fire is fully contained after burning nearly 300,000 acres. Ranchers face significant cattle and fence losses, with recovery efforts underway.
