COLUMBUS, OHIO (RFD NEWS)Mental health continues to be a growing focus across rural America as farmers, ranchers, and agricultural families navigate the pressures of an increasingly complex operating environment.

On Wednesday, RFD-TV will air a brand-new special, ProtectHer: The Weight We Carry, exploring the challenges of mental health in farm country and highlighting the importance of support, awareness, and open conversation.

Elizabeth Duncan with Nationwide joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report to preview the program and discuss the organization’s ongoing efforts to support mental wellness in agriculture.

In her conversation with RFD News, Duncan shared details about the guests featured in the special, including the industry leaders who will join FarmHER + RanchHER host Kirbe Schnoor for a candid conversation about stress, isolation, resilience, and the realities facing agricultural communities today.

She also discussed how Nationwide is working to advocate for mental health awareness across rural America through educational resources, partnerships, and programs designed to help farmers and ranchers access support when they need it.

In addition, Duncan highlighted where viewers can find more information about mental health resources and the initiatives available to agricultural families.
