Sen. Roger Marshall is helping shine the light on the mental health crisis facing rural Americans

“Growing up we were taught the safety of being on the farm, but no one ever talked about our mental health.”

Rural America is facing a mental health crisis with higher rates of depression and suicide.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we have been highlighting the stories of rural residents along with resources for the ag community.
Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas has also been advocating to raise awareness on the matter.

He spoke with RFD-TV’s Tammi Arender about the importance of this month and resources that exist. The senator also touched on the Senate passing of the Big, Beautiful Bill.
