Jason Aldine Williams, better known as Jason Aldean, was born on February 28, 1977. He hails from Macon, Georgia, and he has been in the country music scene since 1998 and his first album dropped in 2005.

Aldean’s career has been a long-standing one and is considered to be one of the pillars that helped send country music into the mainstream, especially in the 21st century. He has received Grammy nominations, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, and Billboard Awards.

His discography includes eleven albums, so there are plenty of songs out there. But here are six of our favorites.

“Hicktown”

Aldean kicked the door in with his debut single “Hicktown”. This upbeat, country-rock-influenced song was written by Big & Rich’s Big Kenny and John Rich, as well as Vicky McGehee. It would reach the top 10s on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

“Try That In A Small Town”

“Try That In A Small Town” was one of Aldean’s most recent releases but is also his most controversial, to some. Written by Kelley Lovelace, Neil Thrasher, Tully Kennedy, and Kurt Allison, this song was the lead single off of Aldean’s Highway Desperado album. It would reach the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

“You Make It Easy”

Some of you may not know that Morgan Wallen has written several songs that would end up being recorded by Aldean. “You Make It Easy” was one of those. Released in 2018, it was the first single off of his Rearview Town album.

“Don’t You Wanna Stay” with Kelly Clarkson

This powerful duet was the second single off of Aldean’s My Kind Of Party album and would later be included on Clarkson’s 2011 Stronger album. Their performance at the 44th CMA Awards in 2010 was truly beautiful.

“Fly Over States”

Reaching the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Fly Over States” was the final single from My Kind of Party. It would earn Aldean his seventh number 1 hit!

“If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood

What happens when two of the biggest country singers of the 21st century come together... a hit!
“If I Didn’t Love You” was the first single off of Aldean’s 2021 Macon album. It would go on to be nominated for a Grammy, but it would go on to win Single of the Year at the ACM Awards and would win two CMT Music Awards.
Up-and-coming artist, John Morgan was a co-write on the song and you can hear his story about writing it HERE
